Dress Code

Girls’ Ballet Attire

Ballet tights should be pink or flesh colored. Tights should be translucent and matte (not shiny or Lycra).  Ballet slippers should align with the color of tights.

  • Pre Ballet, Pre Ballet 1, Pre Ballet 2 - Basic pink leotard

  • Beginning Ballet - Basic pink leotard

  • Ballet 1 - Basic black leotard, no skirt

  • Ballet 2 - Basic black leotard, no skirt

  • Ballet 3 - Basic black leotard

  • Ballet 4 - Basic black leotard

  • Ballet 5/5+ - Basic navy leotard

  • Ballet 6 - Basic navy leotard

    • ​*Sunday Ballet 6 - No uniform requirements,
      dancer’s choice of leotard.

Boys’ Ballet Attire

Black tights, white shirt, black ballet slippers

Contemporary/Lyrical

Leotard should align with ballet level, convertible tights that may be rolled up, dance pants optional. 

Warmups

Legwarmers, fitted warm-up pants, and fitted ballet sweaters may be worn at the barre when necessary.  No baggy T-shirts, pajama bottoms, or baggy outer garments may be worn.

Skirts

Ballet 3 & 4 short pink or black skirt at teacher’s discretion.  Ballet 5/5+ & 6 short skirt color of dancer’s choice at teacher’s discretion

Hair

Hair should be pulled away from the face and secured into a ballet bun.  Contemporary/lyrical may pull hair back into a ponytail

Tuition & Payment Policies

Registration Fee

The registration fee ($30) is due upon enrollment in the Youth Program.  The registration fee will be due on an annual basis as we prepare and re-register for each new school year.

Tuition

Tuition is charged the first of each month and may be paid via cash, check or credit card. Tuition will be auto charged each month for credit cards kept on file.  Please note that withdrawals are not permitted during an active quarter.

Tuition Assistance

CalPac strongly believes that access to the art of ballet should be accessible to all students who wish to participate.  If you would benefit from financial tuition support please email info@calpacballet.com to inquire.

Please note that tuition assistance is not available to students attending class on a drop-in basis via a class card.  

Missed Classes

Missed classes may be made up in an appropriate class within the quarter.  We are unable to offer refunds for missed classes, nor can makeup classes occur in the subsequent quarter.

Class Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal from CalPac Youth Program(s) must be submitted via email providing a 30-day notice.  Student withdrawals are only permitted at the conclusion of an active quarter.  Please email info@calpacballet.com to inquire.

Photo Release

Images of our students captured during class or rehearsal at California Pacific Ballet Academy through video, photo and digital camera may be used for the sole purposes of promotional material and publications, including its website, fundraising, social media or any other like purpose.  If you do not agree to this policy, be sure that this is indicated on the registration form.

Injury Release

Participation in ballet class exposes students to a possible risk of personal injury.  It includes but is not limited to participation in various exercises designed to integrate every part of the body - stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine, and the entire skeletal system.  Ballet class can be physically intensive.  If at any point our students feel pain, overexertion, or fatigue, this should be communicated immediately to the instructor.  California Pacific Ballet Academy is released from liability or other claims arising from or connected with our students’ participation in ballet class or rehearsals.  By agreeing to this policy, you are acknowledging that you shall not now or at any time in the future bring any legal action against California Pacific Ballet Academy and this Injury Release is voluntarily binding irrespective of location while participating at any CalPac sanctioned class or function.
